THE SARTORIAL EDIT
MARTINY’S
Martiny’s is a refined Japanese-inspired cocktail lounge in Gramercy Park that merges Old-World New York elegance with Tokyo’s hospitality spirit. Voted #24 in the World’s Best Bars in 2024 and housed in an 1800s carriage house once occupied by sculptor Philip Martiny, from whom the bar takes its name, Martiny’s is celebrated for its luxurious ambiance, meticulous presentation, and small, refined bites by chefs formerly of Eleven Madison Park and Masa.
Lenny Kravitz X Steinway
In 2020, Lenny Kravitz partnered with Steinway Pianos to create the Kravitz Grand Limited Edition—a run of just 10 ModelB pianos, each meticulously handcrafted and conceived to be as visually striking as they are sonically exceptional. A true work of art, the instrument combines Art Deco flair with African motifs, featuring over 200 hours of carving, rare Macassar ebony veneers, bold bronze cast pedal lyres, and a crackle-metallic finish on the iron frame. As Kravitz reflects, “The first instrument I ever played was a Steinway…I put my heart and soul into every design element” and envisioned a marriage of classic European style and African art. The collaboration also supports music education, with every sale including a $5,000 donation to New York’s Harlem School of the Arts.
ROME PAYS OFF
Rome Pays Off is a NYC-based lifestyle and fashion label that sits at the intersection of art, culture, and wearable design. Led by founder and CEO Christina “Kiki” Burns, the brand collaborates with culturally influential artists—like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mickalene Thomas, Tom Wesselmann, and many more—to create bold, statement-making pieces that blend fine art with fashion in unapologetically striking design to push boundaries and spark conversation.
CRANE CLUB
Crane Club is the latest upscale dining and nightlife destination from Tao Group Hospitality, and one of our favorite places to hang out. Located in Chelsea, NYC, and helmed by renowned chef Melissa Rodriguez and restaurateur Jeff Katz, the restaurant embraces wood-fired cooking and a theatrical raw-bar cart, all centered around a custom 12-foot Mibrasa grill. The bar is Art Deco-inspired and moody, with flawless drinks in an intimate and beautiful space. Crane Club also features a downstairs, members-only lounge space that offers curated nightlife in an evocative atmosphere.
