Back in 2005, architect Dominic Richards bought 35 acres of dilapidated land in Suffolk with the dream of creating a members only, holiday home concept.
In 2017, Retreat East opened and FarmShare™ launched, giving members the luxury of a second home without the hassle. For less than the cost of a garage in London, each FarmShare™ owner is entitled to stay a minimum of ten nights per the calendar year, with the option to purchase more.
Retreat East is now also open to non members, allowing guests to book a barn or studio like they would a hotel. The Farmhouse sleeps 8 whilst the barns sleep from 2 to 4 guests. The Great Barn restaurant is open for brunch and dinner over the weekend only so for mid week stays guests either self-cater or venture out to the surrounding restaurants and hotels.
Wellness is at the very heart of Retreat East, everything is designed to help you switch off from the world around you. There’s an onsite spa and gym and outdoor activities such as cycling, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding .
